Peace comes after Thunder
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden." - Matthew 5:14

A little bit about me.

Picture
Name: Daniel Lei.
Nationality: (Mandarin) Taiwanese/Chinese-American.
Status: In a Relationship with God. ♥
Occupation: POKEMON MASTER.

First and foremost, Daniel is a growing child of God that attends the Chinese Christian Family Church in Inland Valley. He may be a bit dark-skinned, but He’s fully Chinese. He’s fairly intelligent, or at least he’d like to think so. As you can see, he has a chunky build, and is of average American height.
Daniel is currently attending the University of San Diego, now a graduate of Rowland High School (cXo2010) with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. He played water polo with Rowland High for four years, was on the swim team for two, and is a Thespian of troupe 3191. He also participated in Destination ImagiNation with six of his good friends for a year and a half, and he enjoyed every minute of it. He has declared himself to be very honored and blessed to have been able to serve the Lord thus far in the capacities that he has.
Daniel is fairly well-versed in the art of the piano, and he is also somewhat proficient in the use of the trumpet and guitar. (He’s also a pretty good Rockband guitarist.) He used to be an avid photographer, but now he mainly has fun editing pictures with his mad paint skillz. He likes him some Pokemon, as well as just video games in general. He like to play sports like basketball with his friends, but he can also just have fun alone, relaxing, thinking.
But, his achievements are meaningless, for everything he has and has done is a gift, made possible through God. He’s actually a lazy bum who gets easily frustrated, not at the “thing” but at himself because he can’t live up to the standards. He’s pretty outgoing at times, but deep down he’s really an introvert. He’s fun&loving, but not that fun-loving anymore because of some things that have happened recently.

So, get to know me; I love making new friends! I won’t say I’m a fungi, and I’m no Mr. Smartypants either. Rather, I’m a pretty awkward guy who’s kinda smart with a few things and completely dense with most others - and oftentimes I’ll make stupid mistakes in my interactions with people. But take some time to get past all that, and you may find that you’ve got a friend in me.
I love my family, and some friends I love as family, and there are even some friends who are (spiritual) family. Personally, I’m very strictly conservative, and sometimes I’ll accidentally “force” some of these values on some of my closer friends, but (hopefully) they know it’s only cuz I care about them so much. I am, however, open to all views and beliefs, because I love all types of people, just the way you are.
I’m pretty open about myself, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; His works are wonderful, I know that full well. However, I am more of an introvert at heart, so it might take some time for me to open up about the really deep stuff.
I love hanging out with my friends. Be it playing a sport of some kind and balling it up, killing brain cells together by playing video games all day, jamming it up with our awesome - or not so awesome - musical skills, or just sitting around talking about random stuff that comes to mind, I enjoy it all, as long it’s with my friends.
I’m actually pretty competitive at heart, but I don’t like that side of me because sometimes I unwittingly take it too far. So sometimes, when I’m like playing ball or something, it’ll seem like I’m just goofing off and not taking it very seriously, but that’s only because I don’t want to unleash my spicy side.
One more thing. My tough, manly exterior belies a warm, sensitive heart. Yes, you (probably) read that right. So don’t be afraid to come and talk to me about anything, because I’d love to listen if you need to rant, or I’d love to help if you need some sage (or wannabe sage) advice.

You see, God and I, one day, we decided to get down to business. And from there, from my weak little self who couldn’t do anything on its own, somehow God has, slowly but surely, been making a man out of me. Of course, there are still signs of my past fleshly weaknesses, but every day, I’m growing up, a little bit, a little bit.
